This time in the annual program students from both centers gathered at the same place. The most important addition to the event was the science festival. Thist year we also invited the local education enthusiasts and other dignitaries. The young minds were mesmerized by the magic of science. Our primary goal of the science fair was to spark an interest in science among students, nurture their innovative abilities, and connect science with everyday life. Our young scientists showcased glowing examples of their creativity and intelligence. They created diverse models from various branches of science. The event it self started with a sit and draw competition where nearly 60 students participated. Students were asked to draw whatever they want. They put their imagination to work on the drawing papers.
This event, which is Sohojia's yearly flagship event, this time was sponsored by COMSYS Trust and the Saha family in memory of their beloved father, Dr. Sagar Chandra Saha, on the occasion of his death anniversary.
All the arts were hung from a very long rope. Sohojia kids hung more than 60 of their original art surrounding the entire venue. Some of the remaining paintings were used to create the background of the stage. As we ran out of space for rest of the paintings, they were displayed on a table for interested guests to see.
Nearly every kid performed on the stage. Some did dancing, some singing, and some recited their favorite poems. All those kids were self trained on their performance. Their enthusiasm was inspiring. Because there were so many performances, the program went on for more than two hours. Most of the audience was sitting under the tree enjoying these kids giving their best.
